There are some great off-road and dualsport routes in the region for sure. The trick off course is to know where they are. 
There's little documentation and maps so you have to hook up with the right group, like here.

You can find this in Chapters, covers all the logging roads and snowmobile trails in that area.

No question, for serious back country trails and singletrack stuff any documentation still remains in people's heads mostly!
