Help us make Labour Day a blast!
« on: August 30, 2010, 09:14:37 AM »
Our race grids are filling nicely for the Turn 2 Moto club GP, but this is a friendly reminder that we still have spots left on Friday Sept. 3 and Saturday Sept. 4 for all levels of ARC and CRG! We also have room on Sunday Sept. 5 for all levels of CRG (NO ARC). Why wait until next year? Its going to be a long off-season!

Worried about weather? Some of our best riding is done in the rain. Where else can you safely practice all day on wet pavement in a safe, controlled environment? Skills developed in the rain will boost your confidence in ALL conditions.

Here is our breakdown of special prices for the weekend:

ALL PRICES LISTED BELOW INCLUDE ZOOMIUS RFID LAP-TIMING

Friday, Sept. 3, 2010:
Any Level ARC: $340 + HST
Any Level CRG: $220 + HST

Saturday Sept. 4, 2010
Any Level ARC: $340 + HST
Any Level CRG: $220 + HST

Sunday Sept. 5, 2010
ARC NOT AVAILABLE
Any Level CRG: $220 + HST

CHOOSE 2-day PACKAGE:
Any Level ARC + CRG: $520 + HST
Any Level CRG + CRG: $400 + HST

For those wanting to race we still have some room in the SUPERBIKE and SUPERSPORT grids, please see details here:

https://turn2.ca/ti/t2/content/gp.html

Also, one Lucky Turn 2 Moto Clup member will be going home with a brand new 2010 Ninja 250R courtest of Kahuna Powersports, complete with NEXO race gear and more! WINNER MUST BE PRESENT! Draw will take place on Sunday Sept. 5, 2010 at 1:30pm.

Thanks to everyone for their continued support and making our 2010 season a success! Looking forward to 2011....the calendar is being developed as we speak!

I had an awesome day at Turn 2 today (uh I mean yesterday, it's 4am, I went to bed early). I signed up for CRG1 because that was all that was open and I figured it would be OK as I needed to establish a lap time anyway. This turned out to be a great decision.

I ended up spending the whole day riding one on one with Steve Grujic. Steve was great at ramping up the speed and setting the lines for the corners. We spent the whole day flying by the rest of the ARC1/CRG1 riders (safe/responsible passing of course). Made me feel like quite the hero.  :icon_biggrin: The only downside was that it was hard to get clear laps where we didn't encounter slow traffic. The no passing in corners is beginning to be an issue for me.

Kudos to the Turn2 crew.

I'm just glad the weather held out, caught a few drizzles mid-session but otherwise was a clear day.  Was a crazy busy day as CRG1 & 2 were full but I was able to get some room and hit my personal goal for the day.  Great job by the Turn2 staff for the event, especially with how busy it was.  The races were great to watch with the new Beemer taking the superbike win, along with a wheelie on every lap out of the last turn  :headbang:  Definitely will be signing up for the membership next season

I for one appreciate the time and effort you [and others too like suffocated - bike-a-holic] take to post pictures and videos of our fellow members taking part in special events and stuff like this.  I wish I could be at all places at all times for this kinda of stuff but it's impossible and I totally enjoy the pics & vids - viewing them all!  :occasion14:

Thanks guys!!
