They don't actually use the tooling anymore, it wore out years ago.
They've just been reusing frames and engines over and over again.

We can laugh all we want at harley but they are brillant. 30 years ago Harley was trying to figure out how to build a bike to compete with the technically superior liquid cooled imports.  They quite and decided to sell an image that comes with a bike. Now all the imports dumped most of there liquided cooled cruisers and the flag ship cruisers are air cooled Harley knock offs. Who's smarter?

The accident with the Harley in the water happened at the Gap last year during our Katriders.com Rally.  I'm pretty sure it was Paul that took that picture and helped him get the bike out of the water.  (Or at least tried)
