I have installed and finished setting up a new Photo Gallery based on the Gallery2 from Menalto.

Unlike the old gallery we had, now, ALL USERS may have there own gallery.

The first time you access the Gallery:
1) You need to enter your profile's password. This will create your user album and Link your Forum profile to the Gallery Profile. Once this is done, you will no longuer be asked to provide a password to access the Photo Gallery.

Quota's !
Each member group have a quota on disk space allowed to use depending on your group.
- Site Supporters = 20MB
- Regular Members = 2MB
- Global Moderators = 20MB
- Site Admin = 100MB ... mouuuuuhhaaaaaa !  la
- Guest (non registered users) = 0MB

File sizes and image size
- Max file size is 100kb per file.
- Max dimmenssions is set to 800x800 and will resize to 640x640
NOTE: You DO NOT need to modify your pictures yourself as the system will automaticaly do that for you. So even if you upload a 2MB photo, it will be resized to MAX 100Kb and reduced to 2 sizes 800 and 640

PM me if you have questions or comments.

When you post a message or reply to one, you will see a NEW "Gallery Image" button beside the Post and Preview buttons....  Click it and see... You can use this to post your pictures of your bike you are selling !  No more putfile.com, or other websites to link to your for sale ad !

I deleted a few pictures in my gallery yesterday, and I think I deleted my entire album.  How do I recreate it?  violent1

PM me if you have questions or comments.

Very nice, Nelson!

All everybody has to do is learn how to "automatically" generate a thumbnail for every pic they post.

You can do that by selecting Edit Album in the Album Actions pull down window.

Once there, in the General tab...the last one at the bottom...you can select a Custom Thumbnail. The pic you upload will be the one that appears on the Gallery Main page.

In the Album tab...you can set all the parameters of the album including Sort order, thumbnail size (I set mine to 150, 100 is too small). Apply settings to existing items is a handy feature. I've also reset parameters such as: Resized Images and Define picture size limit.

And one more thing, if you don't have any thumbnails, your photo won't appear in the Random Photo window on the right side of the Home page of Ott-Moto. Looking at [AD-SIZE] just doesn't cut it.  sleepy4
