High speed it isn't. High scores it aint. But how about high-ish climbing this winter? I was thinking January since the holiday chaos will soon be here. Speak up if interested and I will reserve for 2011 fun :headbang:

Check out the two locations in Ottawa:

I'd be up for this. I've been to Coyote a few times.

There is also a new place in Gatineau that just opened a few weeks ago. They have a real climbing section, and a fun section

Yep, I'm in.  I've been trying to get various people to go with me for months.  Maybe it's just me ...???   :angry7:

And yea, Altitude is awesome -- I was there on a VIP opening night and got to go in the kiddie section to climb with the auto belayers.  They have auto-belayers in some areas of the adult section, so you don't necessarily need a climbing partner (but it is more fun...)
People are never more insecure than when they become obsessed with their fears at the expense of their dreams. Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, but to help you discover who you are.

Not sure what Mrs. sidejam would say about it though...

I'd appreciate a PM from anyone who has any warnings about anyone of these gyms. I'd rather go with a safe operation than an inexpensive one. ATGATT ... climbing gear that is. Unless they'll let us wear our lids :evil6:

I will probably go climbing with Phoenix Jr this Friday at Altitude since they have a kid friendly and fun area. Any kids wanting to join us, big and little, let me know.

Vertical Reality isn't as beginner friendly as Coyote Rock...and I've yet to be to altitude so I cant comment there

I am definitely in!

And if anyone is looking for a climbing partner, I go several nights a week.  Always looking to find new people to boulder or climb with! :)

Anyone able to do lead at coyotes? I'm out of shape and need to do some lead "laps" (up/down/up/down) to get my popeye arms back.... complete lack of endurance now, boo.

Anyone interested in climbing any night between the 27th and 30th of December? 8pm to 11?

Bouldering is great at all 3 gyms but entry fees vary.  I have a rope, harness, and cinch if someone wants to lead or top-rope.

Crazy busy with work/etc for the past few weeks, wouldn't mind getting some climbing done at coyotes in Jan though!
