Pro 6 this weekend. Anyone going?
« on: August 17, 2010, 09:25:06 AM »
Just signed up for Monday the 23rd. Anyone else going that day?

I was going to say the weather looks awesome for Monday, but as usual the forecast just changed again.

VooDoo will be there this weekend. I think he said for Friday... I'll be seeing him today, so I'll confirm.

Ostro, take a look at this and let me know which other days you're planning to go:

(I'm looking at Sept.3, 20, or Oct.1-3... also looking at watching the last RACE Rd.6 if you're interested)

I'm interested in any of the above. I'm still getting organized. Stay tuned.

I only wore them on the bike. I swear.  :icon_biggrin:

Also, they seemed to draw a little more attention than I'd like. Or maybe that was just in my head.

Nobody sees bikers in full leathers in Ottawa.

Saw Ostro put down a few laps this afternoon at Calabogie; he was in his attention drawing leathers.  :evil6:
Ostro, you’re looking smooth around the carousel and I’m sure I could see your ear-to-ear smile thru your visor.
Another rider to the trackside!

Thanks RC.

Had a great day with Pro6 today. It started out sketchy with rain pouring down but the clouds cleared just as the riders' meeting ended, giving us a beautiful sunny day.

I did get to try riding on a wet track my first session out. It wasn't as scary as I expected. The Dunlops did a good job warning me when I got on the power too fast.

There were a couple of red flags in the yellow group late in the afternoon. Unfortunately the ambulance had to be called in each case. Hope the riders are OK.

My one take away, is that I need to get in shape! Now!

That's cool Rob!  :notworthy:

How'd you find the 600? I know that you had concerns that it might not be putting out every horse that Suzuki initially installed.

It runs a little roughly off idle in 1st and just feels kinda mushy (hard to explain). But once you get revs up, it pulls like crazy with the gearing it's got: -1, +3. I didn't have to downshift to 2nd at all. The brakes are also way better than my 750. I don't know if its the pads or the galfer lines or both. I'm very happy with it.

I'm hoping 303imaging will have pics up soon. I didn't take many myself.

Turn 1 is a fast fast turn, but it's still WOT - I just kick down one gear and keep on it.
