Matawatchan road - is it paved?
« on: October 20, 2017, 07:09:07 PM »
Does anyone know if Matawatchan road (county road 71) is paved between Buckshot Lake road and Centennial Lake road? Thanks!

Haven't been down it yet this year, but it was paved last year.  Although said road is bumpy as F@ck and pavement condition isn't that great.

Thanks! Is it decently curved though?

There's a couple of decent turns along the way.  The bumpy/crappy condition of the pavement is enough of a deterrent for me.  Mind you my suspension set-up is not ideal for this.
If your suspension is a bit on the soft side, then yes it could be an enjoyable ride.

As an alternative look up Schutt Rd, and Quadville rd.  These will not disappoint you.

They are great indeed, but I've been curious about that stretch of Matawatchan road for a few years, passing by it, but never having the time to explore it.
