June 2014 Planned Maintenance window
« on: June 10, 2014, 05:57:15 AM »
Hello all,

This is an early notice that there will be a planned maintenance for Ott-Motorcycles.ca website sometime next week (scheduling still pending) in order to move the website to a new location. I do not plan any issues, although the website will be in maintenance mode or unavailable for a period of 24hrs.

I will send another communication stating the exact time and date that this will happen.

Thank you for your cooperation and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Regards,
Nelson Pereira
The Ott-Motorcycles.ca Team.

Well,

Woke up this morning to a message stating that Ott-Moto was down  :sad3:. I found out that our registrar for Ott-Motorycles.ca as well as OttawaPilots.ca had changed the Nameservers (migrated) to the new server during the night  :BangHead:. Although this was unplanned and wasnt suppose to happen until a planned nightly maintenance window next week yet to be planned, I was forced this morning to move the website to the new server in advance of the maintenance scheduled for next week. :violent1:

The good news is the move happened fast, within 15 minutes the complete site, data, database and everything was move from the old server to the new server without a glitch thanks to the advance preparation I had done and weeks of testing with other domains.

All this to say, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have had on all our members.

Thank you for your continued support.

Nelson Pereira
